About Dr. Phil McGlaughlin
Dr. McGlaughlin pastored five growing churches, he also served as a Crusade Director with youth for Christ International, worked as an Executive Director in Christian Television, was featured speaker on a daily radio broadcast for several years, traveled as an Evangelist holding local church crusades and has preached from North Pole Alaska to Kota, India. During those years that he was actively engaged in the ministry he also taught self-defense and worked in undercover crime research.
When in his late forties he resigned a growing church in Florida and he, his wife, and four children made their way to the wilderness regions in the far north of Canada. Pioneering a work there known as "North Star Ministries" he traveled by canoe and snowmobile across the wild and remote areas of British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. His objective was to share the gospel with the Indians, trappers, prospectors and "bush people", many of whom lived in isolated log cabins deep in the bush.
Today, at more than 70 years of age he is still active in preaching, teaching, and training. He and his wife now reside in Florida, and all four of their children are presently serving in various avenues of Christian ministry. When asked what advice he would pass on to Christians everywhere, without hesitation he replied: "Jesus never said it would be easy --- he only said it would be worth any sacrifice we may be called upon to make. NEVER GIVE UP!"
